Breanna: Real or Imagined?

 Breanna, the main character of Sky Ropes, is not real, even though she feels completely real to me. I can imagine running into her on Birk Street, where she is watering her oak tree and staring at me in a less-than-friendly way. She came into existence as a character in another book I wrote. There, she stole every scene, invaded my imagination, and demanded a book of her own. Thinking about her story and about the fearlessness she wants everyone to believe in (herself included) is how I found the story of Sky Ropes. Like all the characters in the book, she is not based on anyone in particular, but reflects bits and pieces of many people, even me.
