The City of Beecham

 Beecham, the city where Breanna lives, isn’t real. But it is based on a real town, Ann Arbor, Michigan, where I live. Birk Street, where Breanna lives, is real. And though once there was a house on Birk with bright gold paint and orange trim (and flower beds lined with bowling balls), that house looks like all the others today. Beecham, like Ann Arbor, has many tree-filled parks, a big football stadium, kids who come from all over the world, and many raccoons. It is a beautiful place for Breanna to grow up.
